Shauen & Krista Trump

May was a unique month for us. Early in the month, Shauen was able to make a quick trip to Matongo Seminary. Then, we had been invited to attend the Trans-cultural Formation Program, a training program between LCMS WM and our South American church partners. This meant we spent several days in Pretoria, South Africa with our Regional Director, Mike Rodewald, to get our visas for Paraguay. Then, along with Mike, we enjoyed 2 weeks in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay. We even took a short jaunt across the border to Brazil to enjoy the magnificent Iguazu Falls - a collection of 275 waterfalls along a 1.7 mile stretch of the Iguazu River. Even more wonderful, Krista's mother, Bernita Krenzke, was able to fly down to Paraguay and provide childcare for the many children present at the event. This meant she got to meet her grandson for the first time! By the end of the month, we were back in Nairobi with limited time to buy our new vehicle before we had to leave for Tanzania to attend Swahili language school.
